Be There Dad Workshop

Come join other Dads who want to be more engaged!

6–8 PM

The workshop will be led by Jeff Usher, founder o f Be There Dad, who has helped form Dads groups at 17 Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Schools.

Dads from various schools have been invited to this workshop, including:
– Blythe Elementary
– Grand Oak Elementary
– Huntersville Elementary
– Torrence Creek Elementary

You’re invited to attend this workshop. It is free, and if you plan on attending, please RSVP by visiting, or email Doug at

Based on the book, Be There Dad, humorous anecdotes coupled with the lessons learned from them provide a relaxed atmosphere for Dads to address the soul–searching questions about the relationships with their children. Dads will explore questions such as:

Why do you want to become a Be There Dad?
What did your Dad teach you?
How do you define winning?

Off To A Great Start – Thank You!

Just wanted to say thank you to all the MIB who showed up this morning.  We had over 16 men participate, which was awesome for our first event!  We opened car doors and greeted children as they came through the car rider line this morning at Blythe Elementary.

 Next Tuesday

The MIB are going to be greeters again next Tuesday at the same time.  Come join us, we’d love to have enough men to cover the car rider lines and the bus lot!  Send us an email if you’re interested.

  • Next Event:  Tuesday, Oct. 29
  • Time:  7:30 – 8:00am  (arrive by 7:15 am if you can)

Reminder – CMS Volunteering
